Aaron Maybin is to go Pro

Monday, January 12, 2009- Aaron Maybin will announce his elgibility for this year's draft. This isn't any new news, since sources said he would enter the draft. His draft stock will rise very high, maybe even into the Top 15. I like this kid a lot. He, Brian Orakpo, and Everette Brown are very similar players, being able to play in the 3-4 OLB position or maybe the 4-3 DE position if one was to gain weight.

Saturday, January 10, 2009- Aaron Maybin will announce he is going to go pro at his press conference sometime soon. He is only a third year sophomore, but he has the talent to go pro this year. Maybin had told coach Joe Paterno of his decision. Before, I thought he would stay in school for his junior season.

In my NFL Draft, he will go in the top 20. He is my 3rd DE prospect behind Texas's Brian Orakpo and Florida State's Everette Brown. He is undersized at 6'4'' and 240 lbs, but he will most likely play a 3-4 OLB position, unless he gains weight, then he can play at the DE position in the 4-3. He is versital like Mathias Kiwanuka, who has had to play DE for the Giants this season for Osi Umenyiora, who was placed on IR this season.
