NY Giant RB Brandon Jacobs was franchised today, according to the associated press. Jacobs was the power back for the Giants, running for a 5 ypc average and gaining 1089 yards. Jacobs will be the feature back next year if Derrick Ward leaves, which will most likely happen.I think they need to make a long term deal before the deadline because they not worry about one next season. He could leave next season if he doesn't get the money he is looking for next season.
