Antonio Smith Signs with Houston

Yesterday, the Texans addressed one of their major needs, according to's John Clayton. DE Antonio Smith will make 35 million dollars over the next 5 seasons. The goal was to get a solid DE to play opposite of Mario Williams. This was a great addition, as they don't have to address it during the NFL Draft.

"I think it's going to be a great pair. I think that having him on the other side is going to be fun. I like to have fun out there, and I think that's exactly what it's going to be. We're going to cause a lot of havoc for the offensive linemen out there," Smith said.

Antonio Smith was a former 5th round draft pick by Arizona out of Oklahoma State. He will reunite with former assistant coach Frank Bush, who is now the Houston defensive coordinator. His best season was in '07, where he recorded 43 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
